Besides the Otago rail trail tours, here are the other packages that we offer:
- Three-day around the mountains cycle trail. This tour is for those who have limited time or want to challenge their endurance. A boat trip across Lake Wakatipu, and a stop at the Native Beech Forest, are included. You’ll also have the opportunity to visit the heritage railway precinct in Lumsden and Southland’s gold mining history.
- Fiordland tours Te Anau. This is a five-hour trip where you can explore the birdlife park and have a picnic overlooking the Waiau river. You can also return from Manapouri to Te Anau by minivan.
- Borland road. This tour takes up to seven hours. You can swim in Lake Manapouri to cool off from the summer heat and enjoy the mossy Fiordland Beech Forest, up to 1,000m in altitude.
- Queenstown bike tours. This full-day excursion is suitable for easy to intermediate riders and includes a boat trip from Queenstown to Walter Peak, where you’ll spot the world-renowned merino sheep.
Besides looking forward to mountain and lake views and depending on your budget, we also organise accommodation for diverse tastes. You’re also spoilt for choice of where to eat depending on what you’re in the mood for. You’ll have the option of Southland Cheese rolls, Stewart Island blue cod, or famed Route 6 café burgers. Lumsden offers takeaways such as fish and chips or fine dining at Stock Pot and Barrel with a seasonal menu and top-shelf wine. Perhaps you need something sweet? Bakeries enroute offer scones, muffins, and doughnuts which you can pair with some delectable, locally made coffee.
